Operations Manager - Transportation Management Systems (1678)

6 Months Contract in Plano, TX 75024

Local candidates and permanent residents only eligible for this job.

Rate :- $45/Hr On W2

Job Description :-

The PLCI Systems and Operations Resource role is to provide system management and serve as an operations resource to the PLCI operations and financial accounting teams.
They would be responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of the Freight Matrix system and include building tariffs, new carrier set-ups, and various program set-ups. Serve as an operational resource in transitioning new customers into PLCI and turning day to day operations over to the operational specialists.
Develops processes to highlight and capture cost savings generated by PLCI operations center.
Develops and manages other operational reports to manage PLCI’s business.
Works closely with other PLCI members to insure all loads have a billable cost center and are captured in the correct program.
Responsible for and subject matter expert for PLCI’s Freight Management system.
Develops processes and procedures that maximize the benefit of the freight management system while insuring that it can support the growth of PLCI’s business.
Works closely with PLCI’s finance manager as to integrate the AP/AR functionality of the system into overall PLCI program.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Insure customers are advised of issues and works with them to resolve to their satisfaction.
Monitor and track issues with customers and carriers and resolves as needed.
Builds PLCI’s reputation for exceptional service and ease of doing business with that provides the foundation in growing PLCI as PepsiCo’s premier service provider. 
Responsible for and key subject matter expert on PLCI's Freight Matrix system.
Maintains Freight Matrix system and updates in timely manner.
Monitors system generated exception/error reports and takes action as necessary to correct issues.
Researches and resolves issues between operations and accounting.
Works with accounting group to maximize benefits of system.
Produces/develops/reviews various performance reports to drive results.
Liaison between PLCI and I2
Provides program management leadership. Determines how to bring program on-board and works with customers to execute program.
Provides back-up support to load planners/CSR as to insure timely response to calls, faxes, or e-mails from customers and carriers.
Develops process to highlight cost savings generated by PLCI's operations center. Conducts analysis of operation seeking additional productivity.

Required Qualifications :-

Bachelor degree
1-5 years of project management and system work.
Understanding of transportation management systems

Ability to manage computer systems
Ability to update and maintain Freight Matrix system
Able to determine new customer needs, program system, and transition to operations specialists.
Strong back-up to PLCI's operations manager.
